How to store media equipment over fireplace, but under flat screen (between the two)?

When I rebuilt my home after a flood I put in a stone fireplace wall, I have gas logs and above I left an opening, framed cutout for the media equipment to slide into all along uming someone must make a custom mantle that hides, flips up...something and much to my dismay this does not exist. Help please,I know this can be done, where do others store the equipment? Am I crazy or just thinking way too far in the future????
