Swollen neck gland with out sore throat.?

On my left side of my neck my gland is very swollen. It looks and fells like a golf ball in my neck. The is no pain in my throat. If I press on it it hurts. And if I put food in my mouth it burns bad. I have no problems drinking anything or talking or swallowing though. Can someone tell me what this might be?
