LDS, is Doctrine and Covenants considered the LITERAL word of God?

The book of Mormon is just abunch of little books written by prophets. Pearl of Great Price as well. But Doctrine and Covenants is nothing but revelations. So you could say that would be where Mormons would have to prove is infallable? Since man is subjects to faults, but not god?
